Lockdown 84 Classic Reggae Show

This weeks show the first half isa Roots ‘n’ Culture feel with tracks from Abyssinians, Black Uhuru, Yabby You, Dennis Brown, Junior Delgardo. We then go onto a more Old Skool feel with a couple of Toasters, a couple of slower tracks with Jenny Taylor, Sandra Reid, and then Pat Kelly, Phyllis Dylan, Elizabeth Archer Marcia Griffiths. Lockdown 83 Classic Reggae Show UKRR

This weeks show for the first part we start with a more roots feel with with tracks from Leroy Smart, Errol Flabba Holt, Conrnell  Campbell. Bit of Brit Reggae from Steel Pulse & Matumbi. Old Skool section with Maytels, Pioneers, Techniques, Ken Boothe. Including a couple of toasters & a couple of new releases. Lovers Rock Special Classic Reggae Show

This weeks show is a Lovers Rock Special. I promised some listeners from Japan I would do a lovers set some time back so thought near to Valentines would be appropriate. Most of the tracks are from classic era of the 80s. Louisa Mark, Victor Romero, Sandra Cross, Carol Thompson, Matumbi, Brown Sugar, Deborahe Glasgow you get the gist, these and many more for two hours of classic lovers reggae.

Hi everyone Happy New Year and here’s the first classic reggae show for 2022.  It’s been a bit quiet over the break due to new grandchild and our whole house going down with Covid in stages so no family meetings for us. Were all good now and looking forward to this week’s show. We start with some Old Skool from John Holt, Heptones, Ken Parker, Tennors few slow ones from Ginger Williams, Ken Boothe, Winston Reedy, some roots n culture from Burning Spear, Black Roots, Cornell Campbell, Chronixx plus a couple of request and  more for two hours of classic reggae.

Last show before Christmas. This weeks show  we have a mix of roots n culture including Mighty Three's, The Ethiopians, Mighty Diamonds, Dennis Brown. This week’s show we have the sad news that Robbie Shakespeare has passed so we include some Sly & Robbie tracks in the show, some Roots n Culture, a few old skool, a few slow groove Lovers and finish of with some late 60s reggae and Ska, so something for everyone.
